About SKIF |

SKIF stands for Shotokan Karate International Federation and is headed by Master Hirokazu Kanazawa. This organization currently has over 2 million members worldwide in over 100 different countries around the world. Our club Seishin Shotokan Karate is an official member of this group and is listed on the SKIF-USA website (www.skifusa.com). In addition our club instructor Paul Walker’s rank of 5th degree Black Belt was awarded by Master Kanazawa and Sensei Walker personally spent three years in Japan training at Master Kanazawa’s Headquarters Dojo in Tokyo. Currently all club members belong to the Seishin Shotokan Karate, Inc. organization and receive their grades directly from Sensei Walker. If any club member would like to become an official member of SKIF and receive an SKIF Passport book and recognized rank then all you have to do is get an application form from Sensei Walker and send it together with an annual fee of $10 to SKIF USA. Sensei Walker has an official instructor’s, examiner’s and referee’s license from SKIF Official SKIF membership is recommended for all brown and black belts in the Seishin Shotokan Karate, Inc. organization.
